Our Canada Connects program (formerly known as the Match Program) links newcomers and their families with a long-time London resident volunteer who meet weekly for six months. During these casual meetings, volunteers help clients with their English skills, teach them about their new community and help them feel more connected.

These programs help newcomers develop their English Language skills and broaden their professional networks. In partnership with the London Public Library, we offer volunteer-led English conversation circles at various branches throughout the city.

Getting to Know Canada Discussion Group

This group will engage in directed discussions on Canada’s geography, history, economy, while improving their English conversational skills.

Workshops are client-driven and topics are based on client needs. Facilitators invite professionals from the community to provide workshops and guidance. Previous workshops have included Job Fairs, Social Media Presence, Interview Skills, Continuing Education, and Public Speaking.
